How to replace the battery in your Volkswagen Touareg key remote? In this video, learn how to proceed with the replacement. Take the car ignition key and slide out the metal key from the plastic housing (as shown in the video); use a screwdriver to pry until the battery holder pops out. Remove the flat battery and insert the new one, then close the key remote with the battery holder in the cover and slide the plastic key back in. Test the correct functioning of the key remote with the designated buttons for locking and unlocking the doors.
