How to Replace the Key Battery on a Volkswagen Touareg

Start by inserting the tip of a thin but sturdy tool into the slot between the cover and the body of the key fob for your Volkswagen Touareg, then lever it open. Once done, remove the back cover of the key. This will give you access to the flat battery inside. Proceed to unclip and extract the battery from its location, and the removal will be complete. To install the new battery and close the key, follow this procedure in reverse, and you will have finished the replacement.
