How do you remove the external wing mirror on a Volkswagen Golf 6? Let’s see in this video how to proceed. Using a plastic or rubber lever: pry between the perimeter of the mirror frame and the mirror glass. Pry until the glass detaches from the mirror; this operation is very delicate as the glass or the mirror itself could break. Once the damaged mirror glass is removed: disconnect the power connector of the glass, press the locking clips to detach the mirror cover. Unscrew the fastening screws of the plastic parts of the mirror cap and remove it from the door. Fit the new mirror with the attached glass.
