This is probably one of the most common DIY tasks in automotive care, given its simplicity and the tools required. A non-functioning remote, except in rare cases of internal circuit failure, is usually due to a flat battery. What to do? Watch the video: extract the emergency key, press down on it with your hands to open the rear cover of the shell, revealing the aforementioned battery. Take a flathead screwdriver and pry it out of its slot. Simply install the new one, close everything up, and test it.
