Let's see how to remove the rear brake disc on a Volkswagen Golf Mk4. Position the car on a column lift and raise it to a comfortable height for work. Unscrew the bolts using a socket spanner (air drill) and remove the wheel, then begin unscrewing the bolts of the brake caliper to detach it from the support. Use a screwdriver to detach the brake pads. Remove the caliper support and unscrew the bolts on the brake disc (using a Torx screwdriver), then pull the disc towards you to remove it from the hub. Install the new brake disc with all associated bolts, tighten the caliper support to the disc and the pads, then mount the brake caliper, ensuring all bolts are securely tightened.
