How to Reset the Climatronic on the Volkswagen Golf?

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

By inserting and turning the ignition key in the appropriate slot, you can activate the panel to start the reset of the Climatronic on the Volkswagen Golf. Once the panel is on and you can use the controls in the centre of the dashboard, press and hold the A/C button and the button to direct airflow to the front simultaneously: the lights under the two buttons will start flashing for a few seconds. When they become steady, the Climatronic will be reset to its default settings, and you can then make new adjustments.
