To remove the tailgate panel on the Volkswagen Tiguan, first open the tailgate. Locate the two securing screws at the base of the panel.

Loosen these screws and then remove the panel located just below the rear window. Underneath, there will be additional screws to loosen, which, once removed, will allow you to take off the tailgate panel.

You can then fit the new panel and secure it with the screws you just removed.
