How to reset the service light of a Golf Plus

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008

The Volkswagen Golf Plus is a raised and more spacious version of the V model produced between 2003 and 2014. It is not a sporty or special version, but a compact family model, with 1.4; 1.6; 1.9 TDI or 2.0 TDI engines. In terms of dashboard and service reset, the procedure is identical to that of the Golf V, as they share the same platform and instruments. The only difference is that some models have a more advanced digital display (with icon menus), but the "0.0" or "SET" button is always in the same position. The procedure is to hold down the "0.0"/"SET" button on the dashboard with the ignition off. While holding it down, turn on the ignition and keep it pressed until the display shows the "service" menu. Release the button and briefly press the "minutes" button to confirm the reset. The light will turn off and the counter will be reset.
