In this guide, you will learn how to disassemble and replace the battery of the key fob for the Volkswagen Golf. First, take your key fob and remove the physical key from inside it; use a lever on the gap created to remove the rear cover, thus accessing the battery compartment, as shown in the video. At this point, remove the old battery and replace it with a new one of the correct type (in this case, a CR 2032 3V); insert it in the correct orientation and reassemble the fob, securing the cover and finally reinserting the key.
