How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Golf

To reset the service light on a Volkswagen Golf 7, switch off the ignition. Locate the 0.0 button on the dashboard and hold it down. While continuing to hold it, turn on the ignition without starting the engine. After a few seconds, release the button: the display will show the request to reset the maintenance interval. Press 0.0/SET again to confirm the reset. On some versions, confirmation is done using the OK button on the multifunction steering wheel. Wait for the dashboard to show that the reset has occurred, then switch off and on the ignition to verify that the warning no longer appears. If there are separate reminders for oil change and inspection, you need to select and reset the desired item following the respective procedure.
