- Years 2003-2008 Let's see in this video how to replace the crankshaft rpm sensor of a Volkswagen Golf 5. We raise the front engine hood, we secure the same with the holding rod. We locate the crankshaft rpm sensor; with a socket wrench we can unscrew the locking pins of the ventilation pipe (if present next to the valve). We detach the piece from the motor housing (we unscrew the locking pins. We compare the damaged piece with the new one, we assemble the piece with the respective locking pins, we connect the crankshaft rpm sensor. Finally we check the maintenance carried out and the correct functioning of the vehicle.
