In this video we can see where the crankshaft position sensor is located in the Volkswagen Golf, useful in case we need to replace it due to a malfunction. As shown, the sensor in question is located in the lower area of the engine, specifically next to the oil filter which will need to be unscrewed to obtain the necessary working space. To replace the sensor, it will be sufficient to disconnect the power connector, unscrew the single fixing bolt and follow the reverse procedure. Make sure to operate with the vehicle cold and turned off.
