How to remove the door panel of a Volkswagen New Beetle? This video explains how to proceed. Before starting the disassembly work, disconnect the battery terminals located in the front engine compartment. Use a lever to pry at the front of the handle on the door panel, then detach the piece (as shown in the video) and begin unscrewing the fastening screws in the door panel with a screwdriver. Use the plastic lever to release all the clips by prying around the entire perimeter of the door. Finally, pull the panel away with your hands, disconnecting the opening lever cable, the window lift connectors, and the speaker connectors.
