Today, we will see the steps to remove and replace the battery on a Volkswagen New Beetle. First, open the engine cover and start removing the plastic cover located at the top and sides by unscrewing the fastening screws found on the sides; then disconnect both battery terminals (positive and negative), as shown in the video.

At this point, remove the battery from its compartment after unscrewing the bracket screw, and replace it with the new one; install and connect the battery of the correct type and with the same amperage.
