Do you want to replace the gear knob on a Volkswagen Golf 5? Let's see in this video how to take it apart. We disconnect the frame of the leather cap with a plastic lever, remove the metal clamp; we take the knob in our hands and rotate it to the left and right until it is removed from the shift rod (we remove the lower frame of the headset if we want to replace it). To carry out the assembly, take the new knob and insert it into the rod on the central tunnel, tighten the same in the rod with the metal clamp. Finally, we test with the movement of the rod on the central tunnel the correct assembly of the new knob.
