Remove Gear Knob on VW Golf 4

Is the gear knob on your Volkswagen Golf 4 damaged? Here’s how to change it from above the centre tunnel. Pry off the leather gaiter frame with a lever. Remove the metal clamp that secures the knob. Hold the knob and rotate it left and right until you can remove it from the gear stick. To fit the new knob, slide it onto the stick on the centre tunnel along with the leather gaiter, and secure it onto the stick with the metal clamp. Lower the gaiter and secure it in the centre tunnel with the plastic clips of the frame.
