How to Replace the Gear Knob on VW Polo

Replace the gear knob on a Volkswagen Polo. Remove it if damaged or if you want to replace it with another. Use a plastic lever to disconnect the leather gaiter frame, unlock the metal clip, grasp the knob and twist it left and right until it comes off the gear stick. Fit the new knob and insert it onto the stick in the centre console along with the new leather gaiter using the clips. Tighten everything onto the stick with the clip. Finally, test the movement of the stick in the centre console to ensure the correct installation of the Polo's gear knob.
