Volkswagen Bora - Video tutorial

Model: Volkswagen Bora MK 6 - Years 1998-2005
Part: Brake pads
Operation: Replacement of rear brake pads

Lift the car with a jack and remove the rear wheel: for safety, it is suggested to insert the wheel under the rear axle as if it were a stand. Release the handbrake and unhook the cable from the caliper. Then unscrew the fixing pins of the brake calliper, located at the rear, remove the caliper and the worn pads. To make the piston retract, you need the special tool that allows it to rotate and retract. Once this operation is complete, insert the new pads in the holder, reposition the brake caliper by tightening the relative fixing pins and re-attach the handbrake cable. Finally reassemble the wheel.
