Front Brake Disc and Pad Replacement

Model: Volkswagen Bora MK 6 - Years 1998-2005

Generally, it is not necessary to open the brake fluid reservoir cap when replacing the pads. Begin by removing the front wheel, unclip the outer retaining spring, and unscrew the caliper mounting bolts. Disconnect the wear sensor and remove the caliper from its seat to extract the old pads. Remove the brake caliper support to take off the disc after unscrewing the hub mounting bolt (it is advisable to use a impact screwdriver). Clean the hub seat, apply grease, and install the new disc, then the caliper support. Retract the piston using a mole grip, insert the new pads, secure the caliper to the support, and apply the retaining spring, reconnecting the wear sensor.
