Replacing the window regulator motor on a New Beetle? Remove the cover panel to access the window regulator motor. Unscrew the internal door handle after removing the cover. Detach the door panel and disconnect the window regulator connectors. Be careful not to lose any clips behind the plastic panel. Now that you have removed the door panel, peel off the cover from the door, unscrew the window regulator motor and the sliding rail. Replace the damaged part with a new one. Reassemble the cover panel and test the operation of the window regulator.
