Replacement of Front Headlamp Bulb

Model: Volkswagen Jetta A4, MK 4 - Years 1998-2005

Open the bonnet and detach the rear retaining spring of the optical unit using a screwdriver. Pull the entire optical unit out of its housing by pulling it towards you and disconnect the connectors. Remove the bulb holder clip and pull out the bulb. Insert the new bulb, taking great care not to touch the glass bulb with your hands. Reposition the bulb holder in its housing and secure it with the spring. For the replacement of other bulbs, proceed in the same manner. Carefully refit the headlamp assembly into the vehicle's housing. Repeat the same operation with the other unit. Check the operation by turning on the headlights.
