Front Bumper Removal Instructions

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003
Part: Front bumper

Open the front bonnet, remove the plastic retaining clips of the front grille, and disconnect the bonnet release cable. Then, unscrew all the fixing screws of the bumper, including those located along the wheel arches (turn the wheels first in one direction and then the other for easier access), and those behind the cooling grilles which will need to be removed by pulling them forward to unclip. There may also be screws securing the lower splash shield to the bumper. Pull the bumper forward to completely remove it.
