In this video, you will see the steps to remove and replace the engine battery on a first-generation Volkswagen Tiguan with a TSI engine. First, open and lift the bonnet of your car and remove the plastic cover of the battery; then disconnect the battery terminals by unscrewing the bolts, and subsequently remove the battery holding bracket using a socket spanner with an extension. At this point, you can remove the battery and replace it with a new one of the correct type: apply the reverse procedure for reassembly!
