Volkswagen Polo - Video tutorial

Model: Volkswagen Polo Polo V, MK V, 6R, Polo 5, MK 5 - Years 2009-2017
Part: Rear light bulb
Operation: How to replace the rear light bulb on a Volkswagen Polo

Before we can start, we will have to go and open the tailgate of our Volkswagen Polo. Let's start by moving the carpet flap positioned on the inside of the luggage compartment. After that, we will have to unscrew and remove the internal screw that secures the rear light to the car. By doing so, we will have freed the taillight. We then proceed by going to extract the light from its housing, and then disconnect the relative electrical connector. At this point, we will have to disengage the lamp holder from the rear light, simply by releasing the fixing clips, and we will have reached the burned out bulb. When we have completed this last step, we will be able to disengage and remove the burned out bulb from its housing, and we will have successfully completed the disassembly. To mount the new bulb and reassemble everything, we will only have to repeat this procedure in reverse, and we will have completed the replacement.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
