How do you remove the door panel on a VW Touareg? Open the affected door and proceed with the disassembly. Disconnect the battery terminals located in the engine bay, remove the cover of the internal handle, and use a screwdriver to unscrew the screws inside. Unscrew the remaining screws on the door panel and detach the retaining clips. Finally, pull the panel away with your hands and unclip it from the door (disconnect the wiring harness and the opening cable). Remove any damaged parts inside the door or replace the cover panel.
