Replace Key Battery for VW Jetta

Let's look at replacing the key battery for a Volkswagen Jetta. Take the Jetta key and start disassembling the plastics. Use a screwdriver to pry between the two parts of the key cover (in the space where the two halves join). Pry until the covers separate, then completely detach them. Open the key section and remove the flat battery using a small screwdriver, replace it with a new one of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the cover plastics after installing the battery. Test the remote key functionality by pressing the buttons.
