Removing the Lock on Volkswagen Cars

Model: Volkswagen Polo MK III, Polo III, Polo 3, MK 3, 6N - Years 1994-2003

Open the door and remove the side cover (the part of the door that is only accessible when opened) at the lock height and unscrew the underlying Torx screw. Once done, you can already remove the handle from the door by gently pulling it and sliding it out of its housing. At this point, you have the freedom to remove the cylinder and replace it. If you want to disassemble the internal part of the door, as shown in the video, you need to remove the panel, disconnect the lock cable, and unscrew the Torx screws. This is a medium difficulty task and requires some time.
