First, open the door and locate the screw on the side of the lock and proceed to unscrew it. Next, from the outside of the door, use a screwdriver to pry off the plastic trim around the lock.

Then, using the same screwdriver, pry to extract the lock itself from the outside. Once the lock is removed, you can take the new one and proceed with its replacement.
