How to Replace the Reverse Light Bulb on a Volkswagen Tiguan

This guide shows how to replace the reverse light bulb on a Volkswagen Tiguan. The reverse light on this vehicle is located in a recess of the rear bumper and replacing it requires some work. The first step is to unscrew the fixing screws of the rear wheel arch; for easier access, you can remove the rear wheel. After moving the wheel arch to create enough space, detach the bumper by pulling it off section by section. It is held in place by plastic clips at the top. The bulb can be removed by unscrewing the two hex screws on either side. Since the connector is in a hard-to-reach area, connect the connector before reattaching the new bulb. At this point, you can reattach the bumper simply by pressing it back into place. Follow the steps in reverse to complete the replacement.
