Dismantling wipers and motor for repair

Model: Volkswagen Polo MK IV, Polo IV, Polo 4, MK 4, 9N - Years 2001-2009
Part: Windshield wipers

Lift and remove the air intake grilles, then remove the plastic cover by levering with a screwdriver on the various plastic clips. You can now access the wiper mechanism. Remove the plastic cover beneath the wiper arm. Disconnect the wiring connector from the motor. Using a ratchet spanner, remove the three nuts and unclip the fastener at the base of the arm. Remove the entire wiper mechanism assembly. Lift the protective cover at the base of the wiper and remove the remaining covers. Proceed with the repair by replacing the broken original zamak support by dismantling the mechanical part of the arm movement.
