If the wiper blades do not activate when the wiper control lever is engaged, the first thing to check is the integrity of the corresponding fuse, which can be tested with a multimeter set to continuity mode: touching both ends of the fuse with the probes will cause the multimeter to emit a sound indicating continuity; it is also possible that the wiper motor has failed, which is located beneath the plastic cover just under the windscreen; to remove the cover, first unscrew the wiper arms, then remove the retaining clips that secure the plastic cover and proceed to remove the wiper motor mechanism, which also includes the motor.
