To replace the door lock of our VW Polo 9n, you can follow these essential steps: on the window lever, at the point where the throttle turns, you have to open a small gap, at this point push up to remove it; it will snap and then stay unhooked. At this point you have to remove the torx screws present in the handrail, these screws can be easily found by removing the small plastic cover on the handrail itself, at the front. Remove all screws with a slotted screwdriver. Proceed using the "dismount-clip to remove all the clips; once released, it will come off easily. Remove all the screws on the frame and unhook the horizontal underwire from the plastic cross. Proceed with the removal of the screws on the body from the side of the lock. . Be careful that they do not fall into the body, so you can help yourself by magnetizing your torx screwdriver in order to limit it to come off. Now you see that the handle is made up of two parts, the mobile and the fixed one, you must first free the right side then the left. The handle is connected to a wire that must be released in order to free it. Attention during reassembly because the same wire must be positioned which must not be too short, nor too slow. You can now unhook the connector The old lock has a white plastic ring on the back, it must be removed and placed on the new one, in the same way. open the handle and move on to grease the parts. Run the test several times, if everything works correctly, follow the procedure in reverse to reassemble everything.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport
