How to Replace the Door Lock on a Volkswagen Polo 9n

To replace the door lock on your VW Polo 9n, follow these essential steps: on the window lever, at the point where the handle curves, open a small gap, then push upwards to remove it; it will click and then detach. Next, remove the Torx screws located in the armrest, which can be easily accessed by removing the small plastic cover on the front of the armrest. Use a flat screwdriver to take out all the screws. Use a clip remover to detach all clips; once released, it will come off easily. Remove all screws from the frame and detach the horizontal wire from the plastic cross member. Proceed to remove the screws on the casing near the lock. Be careful not to drop them inside the casing; you can help yourself by magnetising your Torx screwdriver to prevent them from slipping away. Now, you will see that the handle consists of two parts, the movable and the fixed; first, free the right side, then the left. The handle is connected to a wire that needs to be detached to free it.
