Once the panel is removed, disconnect the black plastic piece from the metal ball, and then disconnect the power connectors. Remove the faulty lock and install the new one. Before reassembling the plastic panel, check that it functions correctly by performing a small test; if it works properly, proceed to reassemble the panel and you're done.
