Removing the Gear Knob on Volkswagen Golf 6

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 6, Golf VI, Golf 6, 5K1 - Years 2008-2012
Part: Shift knob

Simply pull it upwards by hand to remove the gaiter from the base. Likewise, taking care not to break the clips, remove the gaiter trim from its seat as shown in the video. Now, open the circular clip that secures the gaiter to the lever using a small flat-head screwdriver. This way, you can pull out the entire gaiter/knob assembly from the lever, and you're done. How to Replace the External Wing Mirror on a Ford C MAX
