To replace the front wheel bearing on the Volkswagen Golf, lift the car and loosen all the bolts securing the wheel. After removing the wheel, loosen the bolts securing the brake caliper and the brake disc.

At this point, using a pneumatic gun, disconnect the ball joint from the steering knuckle so that the bearing can be extracted from the wheel hub. Once the old bearing is removed, insert a new one and clean the hub. After installing the bearing, you can reassemble all the previously removed parts.
