Guide on How to Remove the Grille

Model: Volkswagen Polo Polo 5, Polo V, MK 5, MK V, 6R - Years 2009-2017

The grille is a snap-fit piece and is a single unit, including the frame and vertical grilles. You need to detach the car logo, which is snap-fitted, by pulling it towards you or using a plastic lever to avoid damaging the car's chrome. At this point, you will find a Torx screw that needs to be unscrewed. Once this is done, insert your fingers into the lower part of the grille where you should find some plastic tabs; usually, there are a couple in the direction of the logo and a couple in the direction of the headlights. Simply lift them to extract the grille.
