Let's see in this video how to remove the tailgate panel or trim on the Volkswagen Golf fifth series, following the instructions below. First of all we open the rear door and start by unscrewing the fixing screws of the panel; they are found inside the grip handles, as shown in the video. Once the screws have been removed, let's pry the sides of the panel, in order to detach it and remove it definitively; in this way we will have access to the handle and the lock of the tailgate.
