Replacing the Cabin Fan

Model: Volkswagen Bora MK 6 - Years 1998-2005

The following guide shows how to replace the cabin fan. Remove the lower part of the steering column, take out the safety clip and the universal joint screw, and free it from the steering. The column must also be freed while maintaining the steering wheel position. Disconnect the electrical connector of the blower, then remove the blower by unscrewing the screws and rotating it clockwise. Next, remove the fuse cover and disconnect all electrical connectors, releasing the connector panel downwards. You can now remove the blower and proceed to attach the new blower, which must be secured by rotating it counterclockwise.
