Replacing the Cabin Air Filter

Model: Volkswagen Bora MK 6 - Years 1998-2005
Part: Cabin air filter

The cabin air filter is located in the engine compartment, on the passenger side, just below the windscreen. Remove the seal and unscrew the fastening screws of the plastic cover: just below is the filter: disconnect the fastening tabs and extract the old filter. Then insert the new one, ensuring the airflow direction is correct; reattach the tabs and remount the cover, repositioning the seal. It is also recommended to sanitise the cabin with a suitable spray: turn on the air conditioning at maximum speed, activate recirculation and spray the spray inside the cabin and into the air vents, leaving it to act for a few minutes.
