In this tutorial, you will learn how to dismantle and replace the handbrake cable on a Volkswagen Polo, following the instructions below. First, lift the vehicle and remove the right rear wheel; then, take off the entire braking system, from the caliper to the brake disc (or the drum and shoes). At this point, disconnect the handbrake cable along with the sheath, and replace it with the new one, threading it through the guide; disconnect the cable from the handbrake lever by unscrewing the screws from the centre tunnel, and connect the new one!
