How to Replace the Key Fob Battery in the Volkswagen Passat B6?

To replace the battery in the Volkswagen Passat B6 key fob, press the button located on the side of the chrome cover to extract the emergency key. Once the key is removed, slide the chrome cover to the right and pull it off the key fob. Now, using a screwdriver, pry up the cover with the manufacturer's logo to access the battery and remove it from its housing. Once the old battery has been removed, replace it with a new spare part.
