Installation of the Intake Manifold Gasket

Model: Volkswagen Passat B6, 3C - Years 2005-2010

Once you have thoroughly cleaned the gasket seating surface on both the cylinder head and the manifold side, align the two components with the gasket in between. Tighten the bolts using a criss-cross pattern and a torque wrench to ensure maximum adherence and sealing of the intake system; there is no need to apply any sealant paste: the gasket alone is sufficient to ensure sealing. It is important to ensure that the gasket is perfectly aligned, avoiding any interference with the intake ports.
