When the washer and wiper on your Volkswagen Transporter T5 misbehave, pay attention to the fault. If it doesn't spray water, before considering the pump, the nozzle might simply be clogged with dirt or limescale.

In this case, a pin can be used to clean the nozzle and restore its function. If the outside temperature is very low, the water may have frozen: pour a jug of hot water and the problem will be resolved immediately, although the best solution is always antifreeze, concentrated according to the type of winter we are facing.

Another issue could be the 7.5A fuse related to the operation of the washer/wiper. Test its operation with a multimeter, which costs just a few pounds and is a very useful tool.

Alternatively, the connectors, hoses, or relays may be corroded and should be tested with the multimeter.
