Cylinder Head Gasket Replacement

Model: Volkswagen Passat B6, 3C - Years 2005-2010

After machining the cylinder head, use a straight bar and a valve feeler gauge to check the flatness of the surface, both on the head side and the cylinder block side: the flatness of both surfaces is absolutely essential to ensure the adhesion and sealing of the new gasket. Before installing the new gasket, re-tap the threads of the cylinder head mounting holes on the block to avoid seizing and breaking the studs, taking care not to let any debris fall into the cylinders. Finally, apply the new gasket and tighten the studs in the correct sequence and torque.
