Instructions for Replacing Antifreeze Liquids

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005

It is recommended to perform this maintenance with the engine cold to avoid unpleasant burns. Lift the vehicle on a ramp and disconnect the lower hose from the radiator to allow the fluid to drain, which should be collected and disposed of properly; then reconnect the hose and fill the reservoir with the new coolant (be careful if using a pre-mixed or concentrated product); start the engine, also activating the cabin heating to fill the internal radiator, and then check the level.
