To replace the battery of the Volkswagen New Beetle remote, lift the key by pressing the designated button at the top of the remote. Use a screwdriver to pry inside the housing to detach the upper part from the lower part.

The lower part must be opened by levering inside the groove that divides the two halves: inside the remote, you will find the battery that needs to be removed from its housing and replaced with a new spare part. After replacement, reassemble all parts.
