Replacement of Rear Discs and Pads

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005

Once the vehicle is lifted and secured on appropriate axle stands, remove the rear wheels, detach the brake caliper from its support, remove the worn pads, and also remove the support to take off the disc: use two wheel bolts as extractors. Use the appropriate tool to rotate and retract the brake caliper piston; clean the hub thoroughly with a wire brush and apply grease before installing the new disc; then reassemble the caliper support, the new pads, and the caliper itself; pump the brake pedal and pay attention during the initial braking.
