If the brake wear light on your Volkswagen Golf 7 remains illuminated after replacing the pads, the only way to turn it off is to disable the brake wear sensor. To do this, remove the corresponding wheel by unscrewing the wheel bolts.

Once the wheel is removed, disconnect the connector attached to the brake wear sensor. This will cause the warning light for the pad wear to disappear from the dashboard; finally, refit the wheel and secure it with the appropriate bolts.
