Brake Wear Sensor Operation Instructions

To understand how the brake wear sensor works, the video first shows that disconnecting the sensor plug opens the circuit, causing the yellow warning light (central circle with side lines) on the dashboard to illuminate. This occurs when the brake pads wear down, and the integrated sensor contacts the disc, thus opening the circuit. To illustrate this, a connector from an old brake pad was retrieved, connected to the vehicle's wiring harness, and two sufficiently long wires were attached to the connector to reach the cabin. It demonstrates that when the two ends of the wires are connected, closing the circuit, the warning light turns off.
