Volkswagen Polo - Video tutorial

Model: Volkswagen Polo Polo V, MK V, 6R, Polo 5, MK 5 - Years 2009-2017
Part: Diesel filter
Operation: How to replace the fuel filter on Volkswagen Polo.

In this video tutorial we can see how it is possible to replace the fuel filter on a Volkswagen Polo 1.6 TDI by following a few basic steps: the parent company plans to replace the filter within 90,000 km and to check it already at 60,000 km. The first thing to do is to buy a new diesel filter; next step lift the bonnet and secure it with the appropriate rod. Place a cloth around the filter container as splashes may occur when it is full. Using a 20 Torx wrench, undo the screws on the fuel filter cover. Once we have removed all the screws, we must lift the cover, if it does not open, use a flat tip screwdriver to pry; remove the old filter and with a suitable syringe we have to suck up the diesel present inside the basket (water accumulates in the basket due to the separation process). Replace the old filter with the new one and reassemble all parts in reverse order.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
